This is one of my grandma's recipes. I served it with grilled chicken the other day and it was a big hit at our house! Hope you enjoy, compliments of Granny!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 2 c
    hot cooked rice
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    dill weed
  • 1 dash(es)
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice concentrate
  • 6 slice
    crisp cooked bacon, crumbled

How to Make Green Beans & Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Steam or boil green beans until crisp tender.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet, add onion and sauté until onion is wilted. Drain and combine with hot cooked rice.
  3. Add cooked beans, salt and pepper to rice mixture. Keep warm.
  4. In a small bowl blend sour cream, dill, salt, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Serve over beans and rice, sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
