Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup Tabasco green jalapeño pepper sauce ®
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 bag mixed salad greens (about 4-5 oz)
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
How To Make green bean salad
-
Step 1Cut or snap beans into about 2-inch lengths, then cook in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Drain and cool in a bowl with a cover.
-
Step 2Meanwhile, combine olive oil, Tabasco sauce, garlic, and salt into a small bowl and mix well. Pour over beans and toss to coat. Cover and marinate at room temperature for about 1/2 hour.
-
Step 3To serve, spoon beans over salad greens and top with crumbled bacon.
-
Step 4Suggestions - Can use packaged real bacon crumbles instead of cooking your own. Use half the amount of Tabasco and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice instead if desired.
