I have been making these for my family for a very long time. Easy, delicious and inexpensive, great for special meals or any time! My husband is a picky eater and these are a vegetable dish that even HE raves about! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen green beans, 8-12 oz pkg
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1/2 pound thick sliced bacon, preferably maple smoked
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt

How To Make green bean fry

  • Step 1
    Preheat 10" skillet on medium heat. with kitchen shears or scissors cut the bacon slices crosswise about 1/2 inch. Put bacon pieces into skillet and sautee' for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile cut onion into 1/2 inch slices lengthwise, and add to pan. Sautee' with bacon about 5 minutes (for a total of 10 minutes for bacon). Add frozen green beans, pepper, and seasoning salt. stir all ingredients together and cover. Lower heat to Medium/Low for 15 minutes stirring occasionally, until green beans are just tender. Uncover and cook an additional 5-10 minutes. *this recipe also easy for camp cooking!*
