Ingredients

  • 32 ounces green beans, cut drained
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2-3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 3/4 cups water

How To Make green bean casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon until browned. Remove bacon.
  • Step 2
    Cook onion in bacon drippings until soft. Add chicken bouillon, stirring well. Stir in flour. Then gradually stir in the water and pepper. Cook stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Step 3
    Add beans and bacon. Put in casserole dish.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 30 minutes @350 degrees.
