Being of Irish descent Grandma loved root vegetables. I have to admit beets are good and this was one of her favorite ways to eat them.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- - salt to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cans (16 oz.) sliced beets, drained
How To Make grandma's beets

Step 1In large skillet, saute onion in butter over medium heat until softened. Add honey, vinegar, salt and cloves; cook and stir until mixture begins to boil. Add beets; simmer to reduce liquid and until thoroughly heated (about 10 minutes).
