i made these back in the late 90's early 2000 i was at a friends house and she was expectin about 25-30 people over so i helped i made a big o' platter of these and there were no left overs lol

Ingredients
- - 4 large green tomatoes sliced and soaked in salt water over nite
- - 1 bowl whole milk
- - 1 bowl flour 2-3 cups
- - 1 bowl yellow corn meal 2-3 cups
- - 1/4 cup sugar to put in cornmeal
How To Make grace's fried green tomatoes

Step 1soak ur sliced green tomatoes over nite then the next day prep ur bowls that they will b dredged in

Step 2remember to put ur surgar in the cornmeal. then starting with the milk dredge ur tomatoes milk, flour, and cornmeal

Step 3then place on hot griddle place about 4 or 5, don't let them touch each other. brown on both sides to a nice golden brown. serve hot but i like them room temp as well. lol hope u like them. if u want u don't have to put that much sugar in the cornmeal

Step 4if u want to try this u can also use hierloom tomatoes and u don't have to soak them over nite nor add sugar to the cornmeal
