This calls for fresh beans cooked.Only 2 cups so i think you will be fine with canned.Rinse the canned beans to rid of metal taste.

- 1/2 cup onion chopped3/4
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- - salt and pepper

Step 1Brown the bacon remove and cut into 1/2 " pieces.Use the bacon grease to fry the onions 3-4mins..The add flour 1-2 tablespoons stiring to blend now add water,vinegar & sugar on med-low heat bring to a slow simmer.As this dressing will not be think as a gravy you may add more water.

Step 2Add your beans to this mixture and toss serve with bacon on top.
