- 4 cups cut up fresh okra, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 3/4 cup oil
How To Make fried okra

Step 1Cut up okra into 1 inch pieces.

Step 2Toss okra pieces in cornmeal.

Step 3Put oil in a large skillet and heat it to high.

Step 4Pour breaded okra into a hot skillet. Be careful because the grease will splatter.

Step 5Reduce the heat to medium, and cook for 10 minutes until brown. Use a spatula to turn it, as necessary.

Step 6Drain fried okra on a paper towel and serve immediately.
