fried mustard greens
Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by Neva Pennington.

Ingredients
- - mustard greens
- 1/2 cup corn oil
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- - salt to taste
How To Make fried mustard greens

Step 1Pick fresh, tender mustard greens. Wash until you are sure they are clean. Cut greens.

Step 2In a Dutch oven, heat corn oil and add green onions and salt.

Step 3Put cut up greens in hot oil. Fry down until tender. Note: Great with Mexican corn bread.
