- 5-6 - morel mushrooms per serving
- 2 cups white or yellow corn meal
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch cracked ground pepper
How To Make nonna rosa's fried morels in cornmeal

Step 1Heat cooking oil in skillet over medium heat until pinch of flour sizzles. Make sure morels are clean and split in half lengthwise. Reserve in cold water.

Step 2Mix cornmeal, sugar, salt and pepper together in large bowl. Carefully bread each mushroom half (like breading chicken)

Step 3Fry in small batches. About 6 mushrooms per serving. Can be held on tray in warm oven until all are fried. Enjoy!
