Ingredients
- 3 - large, green tomatoes
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- salt - to taste
- pepper - to taste
- - vegetable oil for frying
How To Make fried green tomatoes

Step 1Wash tomatoes in cold water, and get very dry. Slice tomatoes very thin. Set aside.

Step 2Mix milk and egg together in a small bowl; then mix flour and cornmeal together in another bowl.

Step 3Dip tomatoe slices in egg mixture and dredge in flour mixture. Shake off excess and fry in hot oil a minute or two on each side or until golden brown and crisp.

Step 4Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt & pepper.
