How to Make Fried Green Tomatoes
- Note: You can pan fry these, but they are crispier fried in a lot of oil or deep fried.
- Combine egg and milk and set aside. Combine cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper.
- Dip the tomato slices in the milk and egg and dredge in the cornmeal mixture. Drop in hot oil, a few at a time and fry until brown. Keep warm in oven, until you have fried them all.
