I wanted to make some fried green tomatoes and made do with what I had on hand, I was very pleased, and so was everyone else, so this is how I make them now.

Ingredients

  • - green tomatoes
  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup bisquick
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon mrs. dash onion & herb
  • 1 teaspoon crazy garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, pepper, sazonator (goya all purpose seasoning)
  • 1 package sazon
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons of the flour mixture
  • - oil for frying

How To Make fried green tomatoes

  • Step 1
    mix dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
  • Step 2
    in a small bowl add wet ingredients.
  • Step 3
    slice tomatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Step 4
    dip in flour , then milk, then flour again.
  • Step 5
    heat oil in skillet and fry on both sides till golden brown.
  • Step 6
    drain on paper towels,
  • Step 7
    ENJOY
