This easy six-ingredient fried corn is sweet and buttery with so much flavor. Seasoned simply with salt and freshly ground black pepper, this will quickly become one of your favorite spring and summer side dishes.

Ingredients For fried corn

    bacon fat
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 md
    yellow onion, chopped
  • 8 lg
    ears corn
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper

How To Make fried corn

  • 1
    Melt the bacon fat and butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.

    Add the onion and corn and cook, stirring frequently, until the onions are soft and the corn is tender and lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Scrape the bottom of the pan to release any stuck-on caramelized bits.

    Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
