This is something my grandma used to make whenever we would come to dinner...when I was very young I hated it...but as I got older I grew into it and now its a favorite of mine....and its so simple.....

prep time 5 Min
cook time 15 Min
method ---
yield 4-6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil of choice (vegetable, canola or olive work best)

How To Make fried cabbage

  • Step 1
in a large skillet heat the oil and sauté the onion until just starting to turn golden brown.
  • Step 2
add cabbage and stir well to make sure all cabbage is coated with oil.
  • Step 3
let cook for about 2 mins and then add the pepper and soy sauce. Cover and cook until cabbage is cooked through and tender. (you can also add 1 tablespoon minced garlic to this along with the soy sauce and pepper if you are a garlic lover, or if you like spicy add 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a good kick)
