This recipe is not healthy by any stretch of the imagination, but BOY, is it GOOD!!
How to Make Fried Cabbage
- Chop cabbage and set aside.
- Cut bacon into 1" pieces and fry over medium heat until crisp in large, heavy pan.
Once browned, strain out bacon pieces to drain on paper towling, reserving grease in pan.
- Over medium heat, pour cut-up cabbage into bacon grease, tossing to coat evenly with the grease. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
- Once cabbage has cooked until almost tender, add bacon pieces back in and toss to distribute.
Finish cooking until desired tenderness is reached.
