Ingredients

1 small
onion, finely chopped
6 Tbsp
oil
1 large
tomato, sliced
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
curry powder
1
medium cabbage, shredded
2
carrots, sliced into rounds
1
chopped green bell pepper

How to Make Fried Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  • 1Over moderate heat, fry the onion in oil until lightly browned, stirring to prevent scorching.
  • 2Add tomatoes, salt and curry powder and continue to stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  • 3Add cabbage, carrots and pepper and mix well.
  • 4Pour in about 1/2 cup water.
  • 5Cover the pot, reduce heat and simmer until the liquid is abosrbed and the cabbage is still slightly crunchy.
