1/4 cwesson oil
3 slicechopped bacon
1/2 tspblack pepper
1/2 tsptony chachere's seasoning
4 cpeas, fresh or frozen
How to Make Fresh Peas
- Put oil in bottom of saucepan to cover. Heat. Chop uncooked bacon into small pieces. Place in warm oil for a few minutes, just long enough to braise them.
- Then add the water and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Add peas to the boiling water. Return the water to a boil. Boil a few minutes, then lower heat to simmer. Cook on simmer until tender.
