Ingredients

  • 6 pounds grated cabbage
  • 5 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 2 - stems of chopped celery
  • 2 - bell peppers, chopped

How To Make freezer slaw

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle salt over cabbage, let stand 1 hour.
  • Step 2
    Drain well.
  • Step 3
    Add pepper and celery, let stand 20 minutes longer.
  • Step 4
    Mix sugar, water, vinegar, celery seeds and mustard seeds.
  • Step 5
    Bring to a boil, pour over cabbage mixture.
  • Step 6
    Cool, put in freezer container.
  • Step 7
    Freeze.
