My husband loves it when I add this to his lunch. It lasts several days in the refrigerator. Alongside the potato salad, growing up we had this at family picnics.

Ingredients For five bean salad

  • 1 can
    yellow wax beans
  • 1 can
    cut green beans
  • 1 can
    red kidney beans
  • 1 can
    garbanzo beans
  • 1 can
    white northern beans
  • DRESSING
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    chopped white onion

How To Make five bean salad

  • 1
    Drain and rinse kidney beans, white northern beans and garbanzo beans
  • 2
    Drain yeppow wax beans and green cut besns
  • 3
    Place drained beans in a large mixing bowl
  • 4
    Combine dressing ingredients and whisk well then add to beans
  • 5
    Gently blend beans and dressing.
  • 6
    Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
