easy peasy peas

We really like peas - I prefer frozen over canned b/c they are not mushy. The trick is to heat them to preferred serving temperature, but not to boil them. Omit garlic if you like.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon (granulated or powdered)
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch sugar
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make easy peasy peas

  • Step 1
    Add water, peas, garlic, pinch of sugar and bouillon to medium saucepan.
  • Step 2
    Place butter on top of peas. Heat until all butter is melted. Do not let boil, just heat.
  • Step 3
    Drain off water. Add salt and pepper to taste.
