- 4 cups peeled and sliced carrots
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Make delicious glazed carrots

Step 1Bring the carrots, butter, brown sugar, water, and orange juice to a boil in heavy large skillet. Reduce the heat to medium, cover, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 2Uncover, stir in the orange zest and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3Cook until the carrots are fork tender and the juices have reduced to a glossy glaze, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 4You can use 4 cups of baby carrots in place of the sliced carrots.

Step 5Oven Cooking: Place the carrots in a baking dish. Use 1/3 cup of water, then add remaining ingredients, except orange zest.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Sprinkle with orange zest.

Step 7Microwave Cooking Place the carrots in a 1-1/2 qt microwave safe dish with 2 tbsp. water and the remaining ingredients, except orange zest. Cover and microwave on high for 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp tender. Sprinkle with orange zest.
