WE EAT THESE OFTEN IN THE SUMMER WHEN THE SQUASH ARE FRESH OFF THE VINE.I ALSO COOK EXTRA CRISPY AND DIP IN RANCH DRESSING AS A SNACK.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium yellow squash
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons everglade seasoning or lowrys seasoning salt if you can't find everglade
  • 1 cup milk
  • - canola oil for deep frying

How To Make deep fried yellow squash

  • Step 1
    Peel squash with a potato peeler(my preference)
  • Step 2
    Slice thickness you prefer
  • Step 3
    Put squash in milk
  • Step 4
    Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and blend
  • Step 5
    Put squash in dry mixture to coat then add to hot oil.
  • Step 6
    Cook until golden brown remove and drain.
