WE EAT THESE OFTEN IN THE SUMMER WHEN THE SQUASH ARE FRESH OFF THE VINE.I ALSO COOK EXTRA CRISPY AND DIP IN RANCH DRESSING AS A SNACK.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium
    yellow squash
  • 1/2 c
    cornmeal
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    everglade seasoning or lowrys seasoning salt if you can't find everglade
  • 1 c
    milk
  • ·
    canola oil for deep frying

How to Make DEEP FRIED YELLOW SQUASH

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel squash with a potato peeler(my preference)
  2. Slice thickness you prefer
  3. Put squash in milk
  4. Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and blend
  5. Put squash in dry mixture to coat then add to hot oil.
  6. Cook until golden brown remove and drain.
