Deep Fry


  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 1/4 tsp
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground pepper
  • 1 c
    flat beer or nonalcoholic beer
  • 3
    egg whites
  • 2 1/2 lb
    fresh asparagus
  • ·
    ranch style dressing

How to Make deep fried asparagus


  1. In large bowl , combine first 7 ingredients: Combine beer and egg whites; stir just until mistened.. Dip asparagus into batter.. Heat oil to 375º.. Fry asparagus on each side 2 or 3 minutes or till golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
