My mother has been making this salad for many years and now that we can get home grown cucumbers, it is the best summer salad ever!!! This dish must be refrigerated overnight so the flavors will marry. You will not be disappointed!

Ingredients

  • 4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (do not substitute)
  • - enough vinegar to make it pour easily
  • dash salt and pepper

  • Step 1
    Mix sugar and mayonnaise; add vinegar (preferably wine vinegar). Mix well. Pour over cucumbers and onion. Best if refrigerated overnight. ENJOY!

    Only use mayonnaise in this recipe.
