Ingredients
- 1 can 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 package 16-oz. package frozen okra, sliced
- 3 - slices bacon
- 1 cup frozen onion seasoning blend
- 1 cup corn kernels, frozen
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon creole seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- - hot cooked rice, optional
How To Make creole-style okra

Step 1Cook bacon in a large pot or dutch oven until crisp; remove and drain on paper towels -- reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside.

Step 2Cook okra, tomatoes, onion/seasonings, corn, water, creole seasoning and pepper in hot bacon drippings over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.

Step 3Reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Top with crumbled bacon. Serve over hot-cooked rice, if desired.
