Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 package 16-oz. pkg frozen sliced okra
- 1 can 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes
- 1 cup frozen onion seasoning mix
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon creole seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- - hot cooked rice (optional)
How To Make creole -style okra, corn and tomatoes

Step 1Cook bacon in a dutch oven until crisp; remove to paper towels to drain and then crumble and set aside (reserve drippings).

Step 2Saute okra, tomatoes, onion, corn, pepper and creole seasoning over medium high heat, stirring occasionally for approx. 5 minutes. Add water and reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Step 3Top with crumbled bacon and serve over rice, if desired.
