creamy cheese & potatoes

I wrote this recipe simply because I bought a new slicer and wanted to try it out. I has plenty of potatoes on hand, so this recipe was born. I turned out great. My family loved it and we have had it several times since then. Oh yeah, the slicer worked great too!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes, any variety (except sweet potatoes)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cilantro, dried
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated chedder cheese

How To Make creamy cheese & potatoes

  • Step 1
    Slice the potatoes thin and add to a cool skillet.
  • Step 2
    Add milk, salt, pepper, paprika and cilantro. Bring to a boil.
  • Step 3
    Simmer until the potatoes are soft, adding more milk if needed.
  • Step 4
    Added grated cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and and well mixed. (NOTE: You can add more cheese if you really want it cheesy.)
  • Step 5
    Remove from heat and let stand about 5 minutes before serving.
