Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cups frozen sweet corn
  • 4 slices fully cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsleuy

How To Make creamed sweet corn with bacon

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in butter for 2 to 3 minutes. Add corn and bacon. Cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Stir together cream, broth and flour.
  • Step 3
    Pour cream mixture into corn and bring to a boil. Simmer on low 10-12 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Step 4
    Stir in pepper, Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
