Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 - red onion, chopped
- - kosher salt and black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded parmesan
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 (10oz.) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1/2 cup french's fried onions
How To Make creamed spinach

Step 1Preheat oven to 375*. Spray 8x8-inch baking dish. In large skillet, melt butter and add red onions and a pinch of salt and saute for 3 minutes. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and saute for another 2 minutes.

Step 2Add heavy cream, Parmesan, and the nutmeg. Cook up until right before the cream bubbles, remove from heat and add sour cream and the spinach. Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3Pour spinach mixture into baking dish, sprinkle with fried onions and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly. 8 points per serving
