2 pkg(10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed to remove excess liquid (i put it in a colander and use a potato masher to squeeze the water out.
1 clovegarlic, minced
1green onion, thinly sliced
·pinch of nutmeg
·salt to taste
·pepper to taste
How to Make Creamed Spinach
- Melt butter in a pan, add garlic and onion, saute for a few seconds. Add flour and stir until well mixed.
- Pour in milk and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Add nut meg, salt & pepper.
- Add spinach and stir until the spinach is no longer in clumps and is nicely mixed with white sauce. Serve.
