Got this recipe from a friend. I always add a little garlic powder or garlic salt when I make mushrooms. It's up to you.

    1/4 cup butter, 1/2 stick
  • ·
    2 pounds mushrooms, sliced
  • ·
    1/4 cup sherry
  • ·
    6 t. milk
  • ·
    2 cups sour cream
  • ·
    1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ·
    1/2 t. salt
  • ·
    1/2 t. pepper
  • ·
    3/4 t. paprika
  • ·
    buttered toast points

How to Make Creamed Mushrooms

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat butter in a skillet until melted. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes or until lightly cooked but not browned. Stir n the sherry. Cook over high heat for 1 minute. Add milk, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and paprika and stir to mix. Cook over low heat until smooth a slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Divide toast points among 6 plates. Pour mushroom mixture over the toast points. Serves 6
