Ingredients
- 2 packages (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional)
How To Make creamed (cheese) spinach

Step 1Thaw spinach and squeeze all the water out. (I put it in a colander and use a potato masher to squeeze all the water out.) Set aside.

Step 2In a large sauce pan, heat butter over medium heat. Add green onion and garlic, season with salt and pepper. Cook just until flavors are brought out.

Step 3Add cream cheese and milk, cook, stirring constantly until cream cheese is melted.

Step 4Stir in spinach and simmer until mixture is warmed through. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Garnish with a little grated parmesan cheese if desired.
