This recipe is simple but one of my absolute favorites. It has lots of holiday memories. My mom always made it for our holiday meals and now I do. It is also the dish that I always get asked to bring to my husband's work get togethers.
Just a little ideal to make it more festive. During Christmas my mom adds a jar of pimentoes to give it more color. The green from the chiles and the red from the pimentoes.
