my mama used to make these all summer no cornmeal like most i've tried there amazing !!!!

Ingredients

  • 6 - med green tomatoes
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons motreal steak seasoning
  • 11/2 tablespoons garlic salt
  • 3 cups buttermilk

How To Make country green maters

  • Step 1
    slice maters 1/8 inch thick, soak in buttermilk for 3 hours or overnight
  • Step 2
    mix all dry ingredents in bowl coat maters in flour mixture place in cast iron skillet over med heat cook till brown flip cook otherside all till brown bout 3 min each side while hot sprinkle with dry hidden valley ranch mix let soak in warmth
  • Step 3
    serve with sauce of choice here we use honey mustard
