christy's infamous green bean casserole
It is very important to use the name brand ingredients. This is NOT your ordinary green bean casserole. Once you have made this, no one will request the "other" one again. I came up with this recipe back in the '80s. Enjoy and please let me know what you think. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. This is a dynamite hot side dish for BBQs.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Green bean casserole is iconic at the holidays but this recipe is so good you'll be serving it year around. It takes the traditional green bean casserole (mushroom soup, green beans, and crunchy fried onions and adds a layer of creamy Velveeta cheese. The Velveeta melts into the filling and helps make this casserole super creamy. Buttery corn flakes are sprinkled on top and are crunchy once baked. This side dish is creamy, cheesy, and crunchy. A recipe for a successful holiday side dish.
