I call this Christmas Hominy because, for some reason, I only make it during the Christmas season - for potlucks at work or for our Christmas Eve buffet. Yummy, cheesy, always gets rave reviews! Even folks who say, "I hate hominy!" love this dish.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

I loved hominy as a kid, so I anxiously waited until I could dig into this recipe. Chilies add a kick to this creamy and delicious side dish. It will be a great addition to your holiday table. The Test Kitchen

How to Make Christmas Hominy

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients together and mix well.
  2. Pour into a 9x13 casserole dish (glass or ceramic) and bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 - 40 minutes (should be bubbling in the middle).

NOTE: You may want to spray the casserole dish with Pam or other spray first, for easier clean-up.
  3. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes so the sauce will thicken a little, then serve warm.
