Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon roasted peanut or sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

How To Make chinese style green beans

  • Step 1
    Just blanch green beans in boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook until just starting to soften and become aromatic.
  • Step 3
    Add the green beans and stir-fry until they begin to soften. Stir sugar and soy sauce. Continue to cook for five more minutes.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve!
