Ingredients For cheezy carrot casserole

  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    scant tsp grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    velveeta cheese, cut up
  • 2 lb
    carrots (about 3-1/2 cups)
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1 c
    buttered bread crumbs

How To Make cheezy carrot casserole

  • 1
    Peel, dice and boil carrots until tender. Drain
  • 2
    Add cornstarch, onion and salt to milk and bring to a boil, adding butter and stirring until thickened and smooth. Stir in cheese until melted.

    Alternate layers of carrots, celery seed and sauce in greased casserole dish.
  • 4
    Top with bread crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
