How to Make Cheese Peas
- Dice cheese into small cubes for easy melting. Open and drain peas completely.
- Pour evaporated milk into a medium saucepan. Over medium/low heat add a few cubes of cheese at a time, stirring constantly until all of the cheese is melted into the sauce.
- When all the cheese has been incorporated, carefully add the peas. Gently stir with a wooden spoon so you don't crush the peas. Continue gently stirring until the peas have heated through.
- Serve right away or in a chafing dish so the cheese remains warm.
