Chayote - Nicaraguan Style
2 mediumchayote, peeled and sliced thin
1 Tbspolive oil
1/2 conion, chopped
1 clovegarlic, chopped fine
1/4 tspred pepper flakes
2 Tbsplime juice
How to Make Chayote - Nicaraguan Style
- Heat butter and olive oil over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic, saute until soft.
- When onion is slightly brown, stir in chayote, salt, pepper, sugar and pepper flakes. Stir and cook for 5-10 minutes.
- Add lime juice, stir and cook 5 minutes longer.
Serve as a side with chicken.
