charlene's broccoli salad

I tried this the first time at my boyfriend's aunts house. I really liked it so I asked for the recipe and she gave it up:). This is a sweet and crunchy side dish. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh broccoli
  • 3-4 - green onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 can chow mein noodles, small can

How To Make charlene's broccoli salad

  • Step 1
    Fry bacon crispy, drain, and chop into bits. I just cut my bacon with my kitchen shears and fry that way I don't have to chop after its cooked. See pic
  • Step 2
    In the meantime, chop broccoli into florets. Chop green onions (I use my scissors to snip small). Place both in large mixing bowl. Add cheddar cheese. Toss.
  • Step 3
    Mix mayo, Parmesan, and sugar until combined.
  • Step 4
    Toss salad with dressing, bacon, and Chinese noodles just before serving. Enjoy:)
