- 1 head cauliflower
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon curry powder
- juice of 1/2 lemon
How To Make cauliflower steaks with tikka masala sauce

Step 1Preheat oven 450 degrees. Trim the cauliflower and remove greens and leaves. Leave stem intact. Cut straight down each side leaving a large piece from the middle. Cut the middle in half to make two steaks. Reserve remaining cauliflower for another use.

Step 2Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Add olive oil to a skillet and sear on both sides then transfer to the oven to cook until softened. About 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 3Prepare the sauce. In a saucepan combine the sour cream, tomato sauce, curry powder, brown sugar and lemon juice. Warm gently. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4Serve the sauce over the cauliflower steaks and garnish with basil or cilantro
