This is one of the best cauliflower steaks I have ever had. I had this at a fancy restaurant and went home and tried to replicate it, and this is pretty close.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower or 2 small ones
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped peppadew peppers
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic crisp (optional)

How To Make cauliflower steaks with peppadew, capers, and parm

  • Step 1
Cut two thick cauliflower steaks out of the head of the cauliflower. Discard the leaves and save the loose florets for another use. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 420 degrees F.
  • Step 2
Lay the cauliflower on the baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt. Roast for about 30 minutes until nice and brown.
  • Step 3
Meanwhile, mix the peppadew, capers, salt, Parmesan cheese, and garlic crisp if using.
  • Step 4
Turn the cauliflower and top with the peppadew mixture. Roast another 10 minutes.
