Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek
  • 2 tablespoons white miso
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 heads cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 scallions dark green parts only
  • lime wedges for serving

How To Make cauliflower steaks with miso dressing

  • Step 1
    Whisk together the honey, stock, sesame oil, lime juice, soy sauce, sambal, miso and garlic in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until reduced to about 1 cup.
  • Step 2
    Trim the cauliflower heads leaving the stem intack. Cut 2 2 inch steaks out of each head of cauliflower. Put the remaining cauliflower aside for another use.
  • Step 3
    Brush the olive oil over both sides of steaks and season with salt and pepper. Preheat oven 400 degrees. Place the steaks on a baking sheet and place in oven. Roast in oven until fork tender. About 20 to 30 minutes turn once to get browned on both sides.
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven and place on plate and drizzle sauce over the steaks. Top with scallions. Serve with lime wedges
