Ingredients
- FOR THE STEAKS
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons avocado oil
- salt and pepper
- 2 cloves garlic smashed
- 1 lemon halved
- 2 tablespoons butter
- AVOCADO HERBED SAUCE
- 1/2 cup each fresh cilantro & parsley chopped
- 1 tablespoon each mint, & basil
- 1 avocado peeled pitted and diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- salt and pepper
How To Make cauliflower steaks with avocado herb sauce

Step 1Make the sauce first by gently mixing all ingredients together. Set aside.

Step 2For the steaks Remove the greens from the base of the cauliflower and discard. Keep the stem intact.

Step 3Cut two cauliflower steaks out of the middle of the head. Reserve the remaining cauliflower for another use.

Step 4Add the Avocado oil to a hot pan and reduce hte heat to medium. Throw in the cloves of garlic. Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Lay the steaks into the pan.

Step 5Let them sear and squeeze the lemon juice over the cauliflower. Throw the lemon half in the pan. Turn the cauliflower when browned on one side and continue to sear on the other side. Add a little water and cover and let steam about 5 minutes. Add butter to pan and baste the steaks turning if browning too much. Once they are nicely brown remove the steaks to a serving plate. Drizzle some of that pan sauce over the steaks and top with the Avocado sauce.
