How To Make cauliflower steak with miso sauce
-
Step 1First, make the broth. Place the piece of Kombu into the water and bring to a boil. Let boil for 20 minutes. Remove the Kombu and let the broth cool.
-
Step 2Mix 1/3 cup Kombu broth, White miso, mirin, sake, and lemon juice together in a saucepan. Mix the corn starch and water together and add to the sauce to thicken. Set aside.
-
Step 3For the cauliflower steak. Preheat oven 425 degrees F. Place the cauliflower steaks carefully in boiling salted water and cook for about 10 minutes (you don't have to do this if you like your cauliflower crunchier). Carefully place the steaks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle the steaks with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Bake for about 30 minutes until browned and crispy. Serve with Miso Sauce
