I made brats for dinner and wanted a light side to go with. So, I created this awesome slaw and everyone wished I had made more. My sons words were, " Its better than Red Lobsters. "...I guess that was a compliment...LOL...I also enjoyed the sour cream base over mayonnaise for a nice change... I hope you try it and love it as much as we did...you might want to double for leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fine shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion and the tops
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds

How To Make ~ cassie's awesome slaw ~

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, toss cabbage and onion. In a small dish, mix sour cream, salt, sugar, vinegar and caraway seeds, until creamy.
  • Step 2
    Toss with cabbage. Chill or eat right away. My family loved this simple slaw. It went well with the brats.
