How To Make carrots, sweet & sour, ma

Step 1Cook sliced carrots in salted water till done. Have ready to add: chopped 1/2 green pepper 1/2 med onion

Step 2After water has been poured off carrots, add peppers and onion to the carrots. Don't cook onions or peppers.

Step 3Make like gravy, fry 2-3 slices of chopped bacon. Remove bacon. To grease add 1/2 c vinegar 1/4 + c sugar In shaker mix: 1/2 c water 1 T flour This thickening is added to bacon-vinegar mix. Cook until gravy consistency. Pour hot on carrots

Step 4Double for 3 lbs carrots (so original is 1 1/2 lbs carrots).
