How to Make Carmalized Butternut Squash
- Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut off and disregard the ends of the squash. Peel the squash and cut in half lengthwise, then remove the seeds.
- Cut squash into cubes and place on a baking sheet. Pour the melted butter over the cubed squash, add brown sugar and pepper. Mix it all together evenly so all of the squash is coated. Using your hands makes it easier. Then spread in single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast in the oven for 45-55 minutes, until the squash is tender and the glaze begins to carmalize. During cooking time be sure to turn squash a few times so it browns evenly. Also keep an eye on it so that it does not burn.
